Troubleshooting your VBlank embed

On this page

Quick answer

First open the direct link from your post-scan email. If the viewing works there, check the snippet, HTML block and dimensions on your website. If the direct link fails too, email contact@vblank.co.uk or call +44 (0)7831 086 427 (WhatsApp) with your asset ID and the error you see.

You’ll need
Your direct link, asset ID and published page address

Start with the symptom that matches your viewing. After each change, save and publish the page before checking it again.

The viewing is blank or missing

  1. Open the direct link from your post-scan email in a separate browser tab. Confirm it loads the expected space.
  2. Check the published page as well as the editor preview. Some editors show a placeholder or disable embedded content.
  3. Make sure the complete supplied snippet is in an HTML or embed-code block. Reopen the saved block to see whether the editor removed the iframe.
  4. Check that your provider, plan and editing permissions allow iframe code. Use the relevant provider guide for requirements.
  5. Give both the iframe and its outer block a visible height. Check that neither is hidden in the current desktop or mobile layout.

If your browser reports that the viewer is blocked or refused to connect, email contact@vblank.co.uk or call +44 (0)7831 086 427 (WhatsApp) with the exact message and your website address. Your developer may need to check framing or content-security rules.

The viewer says ‘WebGPU is not supported’

Error message

WebGPU is not supported in this browser, so this interactive viewer cannot play. Please try updating your browser and trying again.

Update your browser to the latest version, then close and reopen it before trying the viewing again. Newer versions of Chrome, Safari, Edge and Firefox (since September 2025) all support the viewer.

Using Safari on a Mac?

Safari updates are included with macOS updates. You may need to update or upgrade macOS to get a sufficiently recent version of Safari. Follow Apple’s guide to updating Safari, then reopen the viewing once the update is complete.

If the message still appears after updating, email contact@vblank.co.uk or call +44 (0)7831 086 427 (WhatsApp) with your browser, device and operating system details.

The page shows code instead of a viewing

The snippet is probably in a text or code-display block. Move it into an HTML or embed-code block that renders HTML. In WordPress, use Custom HTML; in Squarespace, turn Display Source off in the Code block.

Copy directly from your post-scan email if the editor has changed quotation marks or displayed <iframe as text.

Movement or full screen does not work

Click or tap inside the viewing before using its controls. Test the published page outside the editor, and check that another element is not covering the frame.

Keep the permission attributes from your original snippet. Website builders can add an outer frame with its own restrictions; these may limit full screen or mouse capture even when the inner snippet is correct.

Try the direct link on the same device. If it works there, add that link alongside the embed and email contact@vblank.co.uk or call +44 (0)7831 086 427 (WhatsApp) with your provider and page address so we can help investigate.

The viewing is slow

On lower-end devices, your viewing may run less smoothly. For optimal performance, we recommend embedding only one VBlank viewer per web page.

Depending on your internet connection, the scene may take longer to load fully. If the viewer is configured correctly, you should start to see the space streaming in within a few seconds of loading the page.

Send us the details

For help, email contact@vblank.co.uk or call +44 (0)7831 086 427 (WhatsApp). Have the following details ready:

  • Your asset ID and the address of the affected website page.
  • Your website provider and editor, if you know them.
  • What happens, and whether the direct viewing link works.
  • Your device, browser and any error message. A screenshot is helpful too.

These details help us distinguish a viewing problem from an issue with the page that contains it.
