Add a VBlank viewing to Google Sites

On this page

Quick answer

Choose Insert → Embed → Embed code in Google Sites. Paste your VBlank iframe snippet, insert the preview and publish the page.

You’ll need
Your iframe snippet and Google Sites editor access

Add an interactive viewing to your Google Sites page so visitors can explore your space alongside the rest of your content.

Before you begin

Have your post-scan email open. Check the direct link first, then copy the iframe HTML snippet for the visualisation you want to show. Keep your asset ID as a reference.

Website requirements

Use the current Google Sites editor on a computer, with permission to edit and publish the site.

Insert the viewer on your page

  1. Open your site in Google Sites and select the page for your viewing.
  2. In the right-hand panel, choose Insert → Embed.
  3. Switch to Embed code and paste the complete iframe snippet.
  4. Select Next, then Insert to place it on the page.
  5. Resize the embed box so the whole viewer fits. Use Preview to check the available device layouts.
  6. Publish your changes. Open the published site and confirm it is shared with your intended audience.

Check the viewing and layout

On the live page, try moving around the scene. Check the page on a phone and make sure the viewer’s controls are visible. If you change the width or height, check both layouts again.

Provider tip

Google Sites adds its own frame around embedded HTML. Increase the outer box’s height if the viewer is clipped. If full screen or mouse capture does not work inside it, offer the direct viewing link alongside the embed.

For more detail, see sizing your embed or troubleshooting a viewing.

To offer a separate way to open the viewing, add a text link or button labelled something like Explore our space in 3D (or whatever you fancy) and paste the direct link from your post-scan email into its web address field. This also works when your website cannot accept iframe HTML.
