Add a VBlank viewing to your Joomla site
On this page
Quick answer
Insert your VBlank iframe snippet into an article’s HTML source. Save it and check that Joomla’s text filters and your editor have kept the iframe intact.
- You’ll need
- Your iframe snippet and Joomla editor access
Add an interactive viewing to your Joomla page so visitors can explore your space alongside the rest of your content.
Before you begin
Have your post-scan email open. Check the direct link first, then copy the iframe HTML snippet for the visualisation you want to show. Keep your asset ID as a reference.
You need permission to edit the article and retain iframe HTML. Joomla and its editor can each filter code when it is saved; your administrator may need to allow this embed for your trusted editor account.
Add the viewer to an article
- Open the relevant article from Content → Articles in Joomla’s administration area.
- Switch your editor to its HTML source view. The control may be called Source code, Code or Toggle Editor.
- Paste the complete iframe snippet where the viewing should appear, keeping the article’s existing HTML.
- Save the article, then reopen its source to confirm the iframe is still present.
- Make sure the article is published and accessible through the intended page or menu item. Test that page on your live site.
If Joomla removes the iframe
Ask your administrator to check both the editor’s allowed elements and Joomla’s text filters for your account. TinyMCE can prohibit iframe separately from Joomla’s filters. Allow only the required trusted embed; keep filtering protections for other users.
Check the viewing and layout
On the live page, try moving around the scene. Check the page on a phone and make sure the viewer’s controls are visible. If you change the width or height, check both layouts again.
If you can save the code but cannot see the viewing, check the article’s publication status, access level and placement on the page. Your direct viewing link is also available for a regular text link.

Add a direct viewing link
To offer a separate way to open the viewing, add a text link or button labelled something like Explore our space in 3D (or whatever you fancy) and paste the direct link from your post-scan email into its web address field. This also works when your website cannot accept iframe HTML.
Provider reference: Joomla: entering raw HTML in editors. Editor labels and plan availability may change.
